本作は、2016年に公開された伝記映画「ブルーに生まれついて」の劇中で流れていた曲の、チェット・ベイカーのオリジナル盤をコンパイルしたもの。

サントラ盤に収録されていたオデッタとチャールズ・ミンガスの曲を1つずつと、ナンシー・ウィルソンとヘレン・メリル(クリフォード・ブラウン伴奏)が歌う「Born To Be Blue」をそれぞれ収録。
